Belgian Wit All-Grain Recipe. Belgian Wits have a pleasant sweetness and a zesty, orange-citrusy fruitiness. Refreshingly crisp with a dry, often tart, finish. Herbal and spicy flavors, which may include coriander and other spices, are common and are balanced with a low earthy hop flavor and low bitterness.
This simple kit consists of German Pilsner, Munich, wheat malts with oat flakes as an adjunct. Noble German hops are used for bittering and flavouring. The provided yeast is WB-06 from Fermentis but you can upgrade to WLP400 liquid yeast (if available) from White Labs below.
The ingredient list and instructions will be provided with the kit. For all-grain kits the instructions are limited to the hop addition schedule and suggested mash temperature. This is an advanced kit and you must be comfortable with brewing all-grain to ensure success with this product. Please ensure you are properly setup for all-grain brewing prior to purchasing this kit. Although we provide instructions, we are not responsible for your brewing technique.
This kit is designed to brew 5 gallons or approximately 19 litres. This is a perfect size for kegging. However, if you would like the traditional 6 gallon or approximately 23 litre batch size, please choose that preference below
