English Brown Ale Extract Recipe. In comparison to the American brown, this English brown has lower hop bitterness, flavour and has a nuttier character. This beer is balanced towards a slightly malty flavour with a dry finish. English hop varieties are used and provide a spicy/earthy hop profile instead of the citrusy aroma/flavour in the American brown.
This simple kit consists of Canadian 2-row extract, crystal, Victory, chocolate and special roast malts. East Kent Goldings hops are used for bittering and flavouring.
